UNESCO World Heritage in Belgium

On 1 July 2012, the four major mining sites in Wallonia were listed under the World Heritage by Unesco.

The Grand-Hornu, Bois-du-Luc, Bois du Cazier and Blegny-Mine as a whole, are now part of the list together with other Walloon sites, including the lifts in the Centre, the Walloon belfries, the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Tournai and the Neolithic sites in Spiennes.

And that's not all! In Brussels and Wallonia a number of sites and popular traditions are also listed under the World Heritage by Unesco. They're waiting just for you...
