'Le Bois du Cazier' is situated south of Charleroi, towards the Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse region. This architectural marvel combines industrial heritage with a lively meeting place, right in the heart of an oasis of greenery. Two mine shafts, three colliery hills enabling hikes, a museum dedicated to one of our gems of industrial heritage: coal, steel and glass. Some fifty years ago this was the site of a dramatic mining accident that will always be remembered, but now this venue can host your receptions and meetings, seminars, conferences, symposiums or cocktail parties.
The authentic and historic setting provides a perfect match of work, local cuisine and culture. Open all year. Guided tours for groups on request.
