This fair will offer a host of activities about writing and publishing on 17,000 m² of space. In Tour and Taxis in February 2015!
Numerous exhibitors and publishers, authors and artists will be there for signings, debates, animations or simply to reveal what's new.
This 44th edition's theme will be "History with its big axe", with reference to the quote from writer Georges Perec, and which echoes on the centenary of the beginning of the Great War.
Several events will be planned around the centenary of the beginning of the First World War and welcomes historians and writers such as Xavier Hanotte.
This year's chosen theme claims to be bigger.
It will also focus on individual stories as, and to quote the organisers,"At the end of the day, every story, from novels to essays, from detective novels to thrillers or even poetry, do they not tell, in one way or another, how the intimate slots into history and conversely, how history shapes the intimate?"
Since the year with the "Bruxelles sur la gastronomie" theme, the fair has significantly increased the surface area of its Gourmet Palace!
And, 2014 is sure to bring a ton of new features, as per every other year:
The Book Fair is renewing its comic book zone and offers you the opportunity to discover this world in a totally new way: the Imaginarium - a creative space for a multi sensory journey.
It will plunge you into the heart of a lively, fun show!
A 9th Avenue will be entirely dedicated to "little houses" featured in comic books.
Of course, this edition will look at the digital evolution at the heart of the book industry.
Whether you come alone, with your family or with friends, to wander around for an hour or to saunter around all day long...it's your choice!
