Julien DOLHET © Régate internationale de Baignoires de Dinant
- MAPS: Google Maps
A traditional sporting event, this regatta consists of a fleet of floating bathtubs decorated in unusual and original ways. In Dinant on 15/08/14.
The international regatta is one-kilometre long and runs along the river Meuse. It attracts more than 25,000 people every year, who can watch from the banks and from the Charles de Gaulle Bridge. The bathtubs must be propelled by human force only!
The event is completely free, both for spectators and for participants.
The latter are rewarded for the beauty and originality of their tub, how well their bathtub represents the town of Dinant and for news appropriateness.
The theme for the 2014 edition is the bicentenary of Adolphe Sax!
As a reminder, the theme is not obligatory.
Its aim is to feed your imagination...but any good ideas are welcomed!
