Verdur Rock Festival in Namur
International Festival of Contemporary Music. A must visit festival and totally free! At the Théatre de Verdure of the Namur Citadel on 28/06/14!
Verdur Rock is the oldest music festival in Wallonia (1985) offers a modern and eclectic line-up in a stunning setting and a warm and friendly atmosphere. A large contemporary music event that favours top groups which always give their all during performances.
The festival starts at 11am with the Verdur Rock competition (5 bands are chosen for the final) and then continues until 1:30am with 7 more (famous Belgian or internationally known) bands.
2014 edition offers:
From midday to 3:30pm, 5 bands in the final of the springboard competition (Konoba, Alaska Gold Rush, Terrils, Thyself, Cheeky Jack) and also:
- 4pm: ROBBING MILLIONS (Be)
- 5pm - 5.45pm: Competition to win discounted tickets
- 6.15pm: SKIP&DIE (Za)
- 8pm: SAULE (Be)
- 9.30pm: BB BRUNES (Fr)
- 11.15: SOLDOUT (Be)
And, to the names on the main stage, we have just added artists performing on the OFF Stage during the Verdur Kids (animated workshops from the Jeunesses Musicales (group promoting music learning to youngsters) and from the beat boxer, PRIMITIV dedicated for the little rockers in the making), the Verdur Club (hosted by Namur's best electro groups: Deep Noize, Crab Boogie, KHC and Roots with a DJ Set from Kill Frenzy to close), and the Belvédère Stage (competition groups who will re-perform from 6pm to 11pm.)
Verdur Rock will celebrate its 30th birthday in 2014!
A festival for your senses, emotions, passions... and full of surprises of course! An event not to miss! The Théatre de Verdure, a venue which has become a symbol of contemporary music, and has been where many new bands have been discovered!
