Folklore and Tradition at the Villers-la-Ville Carnival
Be a part of a traditional and pleasant carnival with a fabulous decor nearby: the ruins of Villers-la-Ville! On 01 and 02/03/14!
The Villers carnival is unusual in more than one way: the magic of the nearby ruins of Villers-la-Ville abbey give this event an incomparable atmosphere and the friendliness of the locals makes this a moment of genuine joy and friendship.

12:30pm: children gather in front of the municipal schools of Villers-la-Ville. Forming of the musical parade run by the CCAP with security provided by the police and distribution of confetti to participants.
1pm: Departure of the children's parade on its way to the marquee (on avenue Speeckaert) via rue Jules Tarlier, rue de Sart, avenue Arsène Tournay, rue du Godiarch, avenue Speeckaert, arriving at the marquee towards 2pm.
2pm: Children's morning with entertainment from Vagabon et Compagnie, free entry, election of the Carnival Prince and Princess by an independant jury from outside the village.
Distribution on confetti, cocoa and snacks.
8pm: Carnival night!
6:30am: After the oysters and champagne, the Gilles gather!
11am: official reception under the marquee, the president of the CCAP welcomes local authorities and medal ceremony.
1pm: the parade forms in front of the marquee and the Gilles and the Mam'zelles set off towards the town centre.
3pm: the carnival parade sets off
5:30pm: the groups return to the marquee. Large party to round off the carnival. Entry is free!
8pm: traditional Gilles rondeau dance and burning of the Gilles' humps.
