An invitation to a journey through China through the eyes and lens of a young Belgian photographer, this exhibition illustrates various traditions of masks, shadows, and puppets. These photos dialogue with the Museum collections; photographs and objects complement, illustrate, and explain each other.

Comment:

A shadow theatre group, Shadow Theatre Huanxian, (North West of China) will give three performances at the town theatre of Binche (27 Novembar at 10 am and 1.30 pm, for school groups and Saturday 28 November at 4 pm, for everyone).

Special day and contest for the lantern festival (28 February 2010).
New workshops:
- the shadows alight (10-14 years)
- monkey of the opera (8-10 years): create your own mask
- other myths (6-8 years): discover the heart of the Chinese culture
