2013 Prize for Young Belgian Painters

Call for projects: this prestigious prize is one of the major events of contemporary art in Belgium. From 22 May to 12 October 2012

The competition is open to artists of all artistic disciplines who were under 35 years of age on 1 January 2012 and of Belgian citizenship, or having resided in Belgium for at least a year.

Based on a dossier, an international jury made of museum directors and curators will select the projects.

The chosen artists will be invited to exhibit at the Centre for Fine Arts from May to September 2012. The jury will be awarding four prizes during the opening, one of which to a painter.

- Young Belgian Painter prize "Crowet" (25,000)
- Young Belgian Painter prize "Emile et Stephy Langui" (12,500)
- Young Belgian Painter prize "Palais des Beaux-Arts" (12,500)
- Young Belgian Painter prize "ING" (12,500)
