A new exhibition dedicated to the Italian artist, scientist, engineer and inventor, da Vinci! At the Brussels Stock Exchange from 22/03 to 01/09/13!
Discover the drawings, sketches, models, manuscripts and diverse works of the master himself!
Close to 200 fascinating works and objects!
The aim of this exhibition is simple: to showcase the genius of da Vinci and to explain his creations through a didactic exhibition.
Come and admire the objects, created or imagined by Leonardo da Vinci:
- Identical replicas of his artworks,
- 70 life-size machines in 3D specially created for the exhibition (automate, flying machines, catapult, tank, submarine…),
- the secrets of the Mona Lisa (a unique study),
- a 45 minute film on the Florentine master,
- and the possibility of touching a good number of the objects exhibited!
The aim of "Leonardo da Vinci, the Genius is simple: to show his genius and explain his inventions in an educational and fun way.
It is rare that so many quality pieces are gathered together. The last Leonardo da Vinci exhibition in Brussels was back in 2007, at the Koekelberg Basilica, and welcomed some 350.000 visitors!
You will learn more about:
His sketches of the human body
Numerous reproductions of anatomical drawings and sketches. The artist was aiming to master anatomy and saw the human body as a wonderful machine that was capable of a wide range of movements.
The Mona Lisa reveals her secrets
An unprecedented study of the master's most recognisable work. The most gripping analysis of the whole exhibition is that of the Mona Lisa, probably the most famous painting ever painted.
The mysteries of "The last Supper"
A delight for lovers of fine works of art! Contemplate the replicas of Leonardo's Horse, Virgin of the Rocks, The Annunciation and of course, The Last Supper.
70 life-size inventions
Diving suit, automate, flying machine, catapult, tank, submarine... all have been created by Italian artisan craftsmen, exactly as da Vinci imagined them in the 15th and 16th centuries.
An exceptional exhibition of the genius of Leonardo da Vinci, which is the perfect excursion for groups, companies and associations (discounts for groups of at least 20 people and a choice of hours/dates).
The most comprehensive exhibition of the works of the Florentine master ever assembled. All that is missing, is you!
