Summer of photography - biennial exhibit
During the International Biennial Exhibit of Photography and Visual Arts, 160 artworks by 40 contemporary photographers from the 27 member states will be on display. In Brussels from 14 June to 16 September 2012
The 4th edition has a common theme: Sense of Place. European Landscape Photography.
The festival celebrates contemporary photography but takes a look at the future's visual culture as well.
The collaboration with different Belgian and European institutions and museums has resulted in:
- a great variety of exhibits
- a portfolio day
- forum and discussion chaired by connoisseurs, amateurs and larger public

Landscape and countries through the camera lenses
The exhibition is divided into three geographical areas (Northern, Central and Southern Europe) and explores the idea of a national and regional countryside within a united Europe.
Sense of Place gathers works by young promising artists and internationally celebrated photographers such as:

- Olafur Eliasson (Denmark)
- Joan Fontcuberta (Spain)
- Pedro Cabrita Reis (Portugal)
- Carl De Keyzer (Belgium)
- BOZAR - Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels (BRUXELLES)
