The celebrations of Laetare start on Friday with the traditional carnival of the children: le carnaval de Baume. As from 1.30 pm hundreds of children will flaunt in the quartier de Baume, to meet afterwards in the local school where a big rondeau will conclude the afternoon.
Sunday: rondeau at 12.30 pm and fireworks at 9 pm at the Place Communale.
Monday: departure of the procession in the streets De Brouckère-Albert 1er as from 6 pm, followed by the final rondeau at the Place Mansart.
Tuesday: the burning of the humps all over town as from 9.45 pm. and every Gilles society has its own favourite site to burn their humps, the most noteworthy being: Les Boute-en-Train: Place Mansart, Les Gilles de Bouvy: place Mansart, Les Maugretout: Place Maugretout.
