Every year, at the end of summer, the world's best athletes come together in Brussels, for an unmissable event. 06/09/13.

In tribute to the late great athlete, Ivo Van Damme, this annual meet brings together prominent athletes from many disciplines, often from distant countries.

Miracles are performed every year with Belgian, European and even world records matched and often beaten!

Music is also a prominent feature of this unusual event, punctuating the sports events at the start, then going on well into the night, enticing the many spectators to get up and dance, whatever their style.

Except during the fireworks, of course!

And that's not all!

Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt will again be taking part in the Memorial Van Damme!

It will be the 6th time that the Olympic champion will grace the track of the King Baudouin Stadium, but it is unknown whether he will line up for the 100m or the 200m.

The Memorial Van Damme is, for most of the athletes, the event that rounds of the season.
