The Feureu is one of the most beautiful carnivals of gilles and peasants in the region. The Sunday morning following on Mardi Gras, the different associations gather on the Grand'Place and from a magnificent rondo. For two days the city is in a festive mood. The apotheosis of the carnival of Feureu takes place on Monday evening at the Place Albert Ier, where the groups form an enormous rondo around a stake. The fire is lit at the centre of the place, while magnificent fireworks light up the evening.
