The water joust of Namur, which commemorates the jousts practised by the medieval boatmen, mixes sports and folk competitions. Costumes, music and combats, according to the old rules makes this a colourful event. Every year since 1974, this tradition relives on the Meuse, on the second Sunday of August and puts the two traditional teams against each other: the inhabitants of Plante and those of Jambes. Each team consists of 4 jousters, 8 paddlers, a drummer and a helmsman. The combat occurs in quarter finals, semi-finals and finally the final. He who stays the last on the upper deck of the skiff or touches the water last, is declared the winner of a joust. The winner at the end of the tournament becomes "King of the jousters".

Saturday: dance.
Sunday: Flea market from 8 am to 6 pm and various animations. Snacks. Water games: 3 pm.
