Take a break in the past and enter a mediaeval camp with armoured combats, axe throwing, war machines and traditional games. In Rebecq from 4 to 5 August 2012
10th edition
Come and sip a glass of traditional mediaeval drink, bargain with the merchants, visit the camp and watch the artillery and battles, archery and axe throwing, and try on armour if you can bear the weight...
Fellows will be glad to explain how weapons were used and a variety of stands will help you understand what life was like during the Middle Ages, and how our ancestors used to make candles and cords. You can also try to make them yourselves!
Blacksmiths will be making knives and arrowheads in front of your very eyes.
The Terrible Inquisition will once more get their nails into the infidels' flesh, knights will be parading in front of you and combatants will put up fights to win their fair ladies' hearts.
Join the many activities for you and your children:
- greasy pole with prizes
- rope pulling
- racing
- padded-sticks fight
- etc.
The camp will be open to the public from 11am to 7pm on Saturday and Sunday but groups from private companies can settle in from Wednesday 3 August. Friday is reserved to private companies. The site will therefore not be open to the public.
