The idea behind the Ecotrail is to promote the most beautiful green areas of this European city. In Brussels on 29 September 2012

Discover the Belgian capital and its surroundings thanks to this outdoor run through the city that aims to promote the local natural and cultural heritage.

The longest distance is 80 km and runs along the Soignes Forest and the Green Walk until the Atomium. An orginal way to cross both regions, Flanders and Wallonia.

As well as an individual run, the programme of the day can be completed with an extra challenge:

• long "run-bike-bike" (one runner and two bicycles)

• 2 short trails starting from Erasme metro station: one 25 km and a duo 18 km race without time limitations

The starting points are all reachable by metro from the Atomium.

Races start at the end of the morning and beginning of the afternoon.

The programme (to be confirmed) has been organised so the 80 km runners are the last to arrive at the Atomium.
