SAINT-HUBERT : FEAST OF THE PATRON SAINT

Saint Hubert has been the Patron Saint of the hunters since the ninth century and is called upon for the protection of the dogs and horses and for successful hunting.
From 9 am activities have been arranged in front of the basilica, including traditional groups, a crafts market, hunting horn blowers, horseriders, hunters, and the companions of St Hubert and even flag throwers...
After the mass at 11am, the distribution of the blessed bread and the blessing of the animals in the presence of the hunting horn blowers will take place on the steps of the church. The ceremony is followed by a crafts market where one can taste and buy local products as well as enjoy the various entertainment and activities.

Comment:

9 am: Traditional market. Various animations in the city centre.
11 am: Basilica: Solemn mass with the Royal Forêt Saint-Hubert - Blessing of the bread.
12.15 pm: In front of the Basilica: Blessing of the animals.
1 pm: Departure horse rally.
