DEER AND MUSHROOM WEEKEND

The stag is a familiar animal in Wallonia. Its natural habitat is the forest. The distinctive call, or "bell" of the stag announces the beginning of the rutting season in September. During that time this otherwise very placid animal becomes maddened and dangerous, even to man. The stag engages in terrible and spectacular battles with his congeners so as to win the most females.
