Flower Carpet

The biggest flower carpet in Wallonia! This year's will be not only beautiful but flabbergasting, because it will be round!

180,000 red, orange, yellow and white begonias surrounded by 206 m² of grass are needed to make the floral carpet. This floral masterpiece acquires a third dimension when seen from the balcony of the City Hall.

The preparatory drawing is first made on a 1:1 scale on a perforated transparent sheet of plastic in order to create a mircro-climate that prevents the flowers from wilting.

The designers took inspiration from the patterns of the tiles in the city hall, so why not try to identify which one?
