Christmas Market in Spontin

50 artisan traders, food and drinks and Christmas beers, music shows and a Christmas tree sale. In Spontin 9/12!

In addition to the Christmas market, there is also an ice-skating rink!

• The Spontin castle, surrounded by the waters of the Bocq river, is one of Spontin's best examples of Middle-age architecture,
• the Gothic Saint-Georges church, built at the top of a steep limestone hill,
• the mill, built just downstream of the castle around 1870, was a working mill until 1953, and though unused, is still operational today,
• the Spontin spring water bottling plant just outside of the village, in a wonderful setting, but unfortunately no longer surrounded by stunning English-style gardens,

Not forgetting several large farms, such as the Salazinne farm (south west of the village) with is protected by an old defense tower. Its buildings are worth the detour!
