Festival Fenêtre Ouverte: A window into Basque culture

This festival showcases a country or a region's culture. This edition focuses on the Basque country. At various venues from 24/11 to 04/12/13.

For this second edition, numerous Basque artists of all genres will take over various venues throughout Brussels and Wallonia to reveal to you the richness and diversity of their culture!

There will be something for everybody!

From photography to music, via dance and literature, not forgetting architecture, cinema and folklore.

3 December: International Basque Language Day


Euskara is the traditional Basque language and is also one of Western Europe's oldest languages.


Since 1948, the Basque people have celebrated the 3 December, International Basque Language Day.

3 December is also the Day of Navarre and The Day of Saint François Xavier, The Navarre's most universal saint.

The main attraction of the line-up of this Basque edition of the festival is famous Basque musician Juan mari Beltran. Don't miss it!
