These Heritage Days are the perfect opportunity to discover different places usually closed to the public. Around Wallonia on 7 and 8 September 2013.

Discover or rediscover the richness of Belgium's cultural heritage. More than 350 activities are organised in 117 towns.

Take part in dozens of animations in the five provinces, walks and rides with all means of transport and a number of exceptional discoveries.

25th annual event... the 25th anniversary will be celebrated in the north and south of Belgium, From Bruges to Arlon, via Brussels!

The theme is "extra" ordinary heritage.

"Extra" ordinary means "never-before seen" or "out of the ordinary" or even "never seen in this way"... Basically, the theme is broad enough to allow imagination and creativity to achieve their full potential.

There's only one instruction: get off the beaten track!

    Celebrate all types of heritage:

    • Rural heritage,
    • Industrial heritage,
    • Exceptional heritage,
    • Archaeological heritage,
    • Small popular heritage,…

Also new for 2013 : Heritage Mondays.

This new operation for youth will be launched on 09/09/13 and aims to help the very young discover heritage and building trades.

Sites open during the Heritage Days weekend will be accessible to secondary school children. Craft demonstrations in each location will promote exchanges between craftsmen and pupils.
