GOLF CLUB DU CHATEAU ROYAL D'ARDENNE

GOLF CLUB DU CHATEAU ROYAL D'ARDENNE
© Olivier van Marcke

Nestling in the Ardennes countryside, this club has a very powerful history. The 18 holes lie in a part of the former park of Ardenne Castle, built by King Leopold II in the 19th century. The Royal Family used to enjoy playing golf here and several of its members were club champions. The technical course is composed of varied holes that offer beautiful views and absolute tranquillity. The route takes remarkable advantage of the naturally uneven terrain. The golfer will also encounter vestiges of the past : the chapel, the open-air theatre, a porphyry lamppost, a cast-iron fountain, ... The setting is, in a word, exceptional. The terrace of the Léopold Tower, where the clubhouse is located, offers a superb view for miles over the surrounding countryside.
