In an architectural landscape where bricks are the dominant feature, MÉLIN with several other villages, is an exception. Dwellings are almost completely made of white stone mainly extracted in the hamlet of "Gobertange". Glimes is a village with an agricultural vocation, and shows the peacefulness of the Hesbaye villages. The village of Piétrebais and the other villages of INCOURT have magnificent square farms and lots of unspoilt landscapes. BOIGNÉE has managed to retain in its landscapes an unusual sense of pureness. The village is encircled by grasslands which in turn are surrounded by cultivated fields. The Castle in CORROY-LE-CHÂTEAU, which was constructed according to the plans for the Louvre, is included in the list of exceptional heritage sites in Wallonia.
