The Mons region offers families a wide range of tourist activites. Mons, European capital of culture for 2015, is worth a visit!
Fun for children
- Children from 3 to 6 years old can discover the fight between St George and the dragon (known as the "Petit Lumeçon") with its characters played by children. A folkloric show just for them!
They can experience scientific adventures at PASS museum where they can explore a slag heap accompanied by a nature guide!
- Children from 6 to 12 years old will enjoy participating in the junior nature guide training offered by Malogne in Cuesmes.
They'll also enjoy having a picnic in the castle's park, admiring the belfry and visiting the "Un Beffroi en chantier" ("A belfry under construction") exhibition at St Calixtus Chapel. Or they would also be enthralled by a children's show at the Théâtre le Manège.
- Teenagers can get on their bikes and go for a ride near the open sea, or climb aboard a "Piaggio" three-wheeled motorbike and discover Mons another way, and visit the Natural History Museum where dinosaur skeletons await them!
