The museum’s displays make the most of René Magritte’s works and its displays cover all the periods of his life. The works of art on display, which include some of his most important masterpieces, were mainly bequeathed by Irène Scutenaire-Hamoir and Georgette Magritte. Others were purchased by the Royal Fine Arts Museum from other sellers.
