The Nisramont Lake
The Nisramont Lake adjoins the barrage with which it shares its name. Supplied by the Ourthe river, its large surface area of 47ha makes it the ideal spot for being at one with nature.
Fishing, bathing, kayaking and boating are available at your disposition in variout spots from the banks of the Nisramont Lake. Covered areas are also available, with tables and covered benches; perfect for organising picnics or barbecues.
And, not forgetting the 14km signposted walking path around the lake, a magnificent walk of around 4 hours, with a difficulty level ranging between average to high.
The Nisramont Barrage
The Nisramont barrage was built to supply the region with drinking water. It is also a hydroelectric power plant and a purification station. The barrage is 116m long and 16m high.
An audiovisual room representing how the barrage works is open to visitors, in addition to a taverna, which is attached to the barrage, where visitors can purchase drinks and snacks.
Be aware that bathing in the Nisramont barrage is forbidden! If you want to get involved in some water-based games, make sure you go to the lake!
If you visit the sites during the evening, you will be able to see the waterfall lights.
The Nisramont Lake and Barrage are open to the public and access is totally free of charge, so come and enjoy it!
