The Hergé museum is unmissable for Comic book fans. Come and explore the fabulous stories of beloved Belgian writer Georges Remi, the father of Tintin.


The Hergé museum awaits you in Louvain-la-Neuve, in the beautiful Walloon Brabant province less than 30 minutes from Brussels.

Boasting more than 80 original comic strips, photos, documents and diverse objects in this temple of comic books, drawn by French architect Christian de Portzamparc.

Spread over three floors, are eight different, yet complementary exhibition rooms showcasing the work of the creator of Tintin.The collections consist of original drawings (replaced every 4 months), objects, scale-models, films and visual experiences.

The Hergé museum is also a dynamic museum holding temporary exhibitions and demonstrations centred around the world of Hergé and comic books.

Opening hours


  • Tuesday to Friday: 10:30am to 5:30pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 10am to 6pm
  • Closed on Mondays, 1st January and 25th December.

Prices for the permanent and temporary exhibitions

Individuals

  • Adults €9.50/pp
  • Large families, students and seniors €7/pp,
  • Children aged 7 to 14 years old €5/pp,


Groups minimum 15 people and booking is required at least 4 days in advance.

Temporary exhibition is €2 for all visitors.
Free entry on the first Sunday of every month.

Free audioguides in English, French, Dutch, German and Spanish. 

Accessible for people with reduced mobility.

The Café restaurant le Petit Vingtième is a refined and modern space where you can relax before or after your visit.

New shuttle buses from 4 April to 1 November 2014
