The Cantillon Brewery celebrated its 100th anniversary and remains the only active brewery in Brussels which is open to the public.
In order to achieve its aim of preserving the name and reputation of the lambic and other beers from the same type, the brewery decided, in 1978, to open its facilities to the public and to become the Brussels Gueuze Museum.
The brewery produces the Cantillon beers (gueuze, kriek, lambic, faro, framboise, Iris). As well as guided tours, brewing sessions open to the public take place twice a year.
This live museum has Jean-Pierre Van Roy as its master brewer, who keeps the family tradition alive. They also boast a star in the Michelin Guide.
Closed on public holidays and on Sundays.
Individual visits take place at all times of the day.
Guided tours for groups must be booked in advance and can be in organised in French, Dutch and English.
