CLAIREFONTAINE ESTATE

© Domaine de Clairefontaine
- Address:
Abbaye de Clairefontaine
6700 ARLON - MAPS: Google Maps
The Clairefontaine estate (currently property of the association of the Arlon deanery's works) is a remarkable Cistercian site at 4 km from Arlon, and a stone's throw from the Luxemburg border.
Next to the ruins of the former abbey, you can also admire a 19th century chapel that was built by the Jesuits to shelter a statue from Notre-Dame de Clairefontaine, and in the crypt, the "count" gravestone from countess Ermesinde.
You can refresh yourself at the "sacred" source of Saint-Bernard. "Le Bardenbourg" in its magnificent green setting was recently renovated and can be used as a location for meetings and parties.
Guided visits on request.
