The Lieutenant Heinz barracks is an emblematic site of the Battle of the Bulge and hosts the Centre for the Interpretation of the 2WW in Bastogne.
In this Centre, which is attached to the Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and of Military History in Brussels, you will discover exhibits and reconstructions about the Battle of the Bulge.
The barracks also ensures the restoration and conservation of vehicles and engines of the Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and of Military History.
Furthermore, this historical site is home to the former headquarters of General MacAuliffe, who was commander of the 101st Airborne at the time.
Practical information
Opening times
Open every day except Monday. Visits must be done with a guide. Departure at 9am, 10am, 1pm and 2pm.
For groups of over 20 persons, please call for an appointment.
