LOCAL PARK OF CASTEL SAINT-PIERRE

Not far from the city centre you can go for a walk in the nice Park of the Castel Saint-Pierre with 27 ha of forest, walking paths, ponds and the Castel, a nice house. It is a nice location for walking, angling, doing sports and relaxing (barbecue and relaxation areas). A small arboretum with trees and bushes typical for the Calestienne region will show you about fifty different species. You will also see an old Roman chapel (listed monument) consecrated to Saint-Pierre, which also explains the name of the (listed) park.
