Bouvignies, a mediaeval city on the river Meuse
Enter the heart of the old city and discover the eventful history of the Meuse valley. The Meuse medieval heritage centre invites you to discover the river, the city and the castle. Delve into the life of medieval man and his surroundings, religions and funeral rituals. Ceramics, copperware and leather objects reveal the details of everyday life. Also on display: permanent and temporary exhibitions, scale-models, multimedia terminals, original illustrations and authentic objects from recent archaeological excavations.
