The Sewers Museum broaches all the aspects of the water cycle in Brussels from the Middle Ages to today. Relief maps, scale models, films and unusual objects explain the different aspects of water purification in an educational and playful way. The visit includes a walk through the sewerage system of the Senne.
Comment:
Closed on Monday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.
Guided visits: by reservation on Thursday and Friday at fixed times (Groups: minimum 10 and maximum 25 persons). Visits in French: 10 am, 11.30 am and 1.30 pm. Visits in Dutch: 9.30 am, 11 am and 1 pm. € 2 per person. Duration: appr. 1 hour, including a small descent under the museum where you can see a collector with the Senne passing through.
Individual visits: € 3 per person.
Train: Brussels-Midi / Streetcar: 81-82 / Bus: 46, stop Port d'Anderlecht.
Extra information:
Admission free for schools from the 19 towns of Brussels-Capital, as well as for children younger than 6 and the inhabitants of Brussels City.
