STATUE OF ALBERT 1 ON HORSEBACK

This bronze statue by Alfred Courtens was inaugurated in 1951. The commemorative plaque attached to the Palais des Congrès recalls the fact that Mont des Arts is dedicated to the memory of Albert I. His statue stands opposite one of his wife, Queen Elisabeth.
