LA FEUILLERIE

The romantic landscaped park of 1,5 ha from around 1840, is located in the centre of the village in Celles (Tournai). Unfortunately we don't know the author, but according to the precision with which the park has been designed, we can suppose it was an eminent landscape architect.
This geometrically shaped garden, true arboretum, with view on the "Mont de l'Enclus" is punctuated with four hornbeam (Carpinus betulus) "cradles" and has a collection of about 2000 species among which different varieties of Acer, Azalea, Cornus, Malus, Rhododendrons (of which more than 70 Rh. Yakushimanum varieties), Viburnum and many other.
Every year, the Feuillerie welcomes and organises six exhibition-sales on the theme of the garden.

Outside special events, visit by appointment from April to October (groups of at least 15 persons).
Access : E42/A8 motorway exit 33, then N48 from Tournai.
Guided tours : From April to October: guided tours possible outside special events by appointment for groups of at least 15 persons. (€ 8,50 - including a snack).

Free of charge for children.
