THE SOETE MILL

- Address:
Chemin du Moulin Soete 7
7780 COMINES-WARNETON - MAPS: Google Maps
People who look back nostalgically to yesteryear, those who like beautiful stories and folklore, let yourself be seduced by the wings of the giant that turn every Sunday to greet and welcome you.
This mill, one of the last in Hainaut on a pivot, has an amazing history, full of eventful journeys and sudden developments: destructions, putting up for sale, removal attempts, classifications and renovations are so many chapters which you will encounter on its site.
A surprising feature: you can see it grind the wheat, crush the oats and bolt the grinding to produce beautiful white flower.
Location: on the territory of Comines-Warneton, in the hamlet of Ten Brielen (also called "Capelle" in the Picard dialect). You will see the new pavilion of the Tourist Office which it seems to protect with it large spread wings.
Visits from 9 am - 12 pm, 3 pm - 7 pm on Sunday from May to September. Also all year round on prior booking at +32 (0) 56 55 56 00.
Groups: visits all year round by reservation at the Tourist Office.
