MEDIEVAL GARDEN OF LA POSTERIE

Behind the listed façade of the cultural centre, hides the garden of la Posterie with more than 500 kinds of plants. It was developed on the site of the Saint-Martin church and comprises a herbularius or a garden with medicinal plants, a bouquet flower garden and a hortus or vegetable garden. The planting logic of our ancestors is respected: the flowerbeds invite you to get to know the pharmacy from the medieval fortresses and monasteries. The garden is bordered by old fruit trees: species that are about to disappear such as the medlar tree and the service tree. A beehive and a snail farm have also found refuge in this natural site.
