ARBORETUM OF GEDINNE

ARBORETUM OF GEDINNE
© Arboretum de Gedinne

Like most of the arboretums in Belgium this was created at the beginning of the 20th century, in 1903. Covering 10 hectares, its principal attraction is a very fine collection of about fifty species of conifers. Some specimens are more than 40 metres high. A seed stand adjoins the arboretum - it was the first stand of Douglas Firs in Belgium.
