Interesting, amusing, convivial and "Seen on TV"! Discover the curious and amusing history of cooking and food - from ancient times to today - told by means of tools, furniture, paintings and authentic object, by competent and enthusiastic guides.
Discover the porte-fidibus, the zagueman, the bouzillé, ... the cabinet à mouches! The symbolic value of the cucumber and the artichoke, the multiple uses of sugar, the dangers of the feeding bottle...
Sample the delicious ancient or regional recipes at the tavern and chose a souvenir - gadget or delicacy - at the museum boutique...
The museum library contains the most important collection of book on gastronomy in Belgium: over 17 000 books!

Guided tours (duration: 1h30). Both for children and adults (on Saturday at 2.30 pm and 4.30 pm and on Sunday at 11.30 am, 2.30 pm and 4.30 pm)!
Parking for busses in front of the church Saint-Martin.
Special visits on request for the partially sighted and disabled.
Weekdays by appointment, for groups.
Temporary exhibitions.
Access for wheelchairs.
Library open on request only.
Special hours during exhibitions.
Old (5th-19th c.) recipes at the tavern.
