BOËL CASTLE

The imposing Château Boël stands amid landscaped grounds covering some twenty hectares. It is a highly eclectic building, whose four elevations are quite distinct. Their only common feature is the two-tone combination of the colour of the bricks and the bluestone stringcourses. Three flights of stone steps lead up to the entrance in a central bay surmounted by a steep roof. At the heart of La Louvière this castle remains the proof of the industrial prosperity of the region at the end of the 19th century.
