The orchard was created in 1990 and is managed by Anicet Fraselle. Its main purpose is to provide a living museum to preserve old varieties of fruit trees, to discover others, to study their disease resistance in the harsh climate of the central Ardennes and to teach grafting, planting and pruning techniques. All these activities are carried out in close cooperation with the plant pathology centre at Gembloux.
Open : accessible on the "Heritage Days" and by request to groups.
Access : by road : E411 exit 27, then via the N85 towards Longlier, and follow signs for Tronquoy - Train: Longlier station
Guided tours : two open days per year - Guided tours for groups by advanced reservation.
