The Louvain-la-Neuve Museum contains a wealth of art works presented in an original way.
The permanent exhibition space is host to a bequest (the Delsemme bequest), where works by great modern painters such as René Magritte and Paul Delvaux appear side by side with other works from all different cultures and every continent. The rest of the collections are presented in rotation. These include art forms as diverse as engraving (Dürer, Van Dyck, Goya, Rodin, Picasso...), Belgian 20th-century art (particularly abstract art) and sculpture, from Antiquity to “primitive art” from Africa and Oceania. The fringe art movements (Pop art, naive art and art brut) are also represented here.
The museum also holds temporary exhibitions.
