On the edge of the Grand'Place and the rue de la Chaussée, this façade illustrates the architecture in Mons in the 16th century (1530). This hotel of the family Malapert is built against the county mural of the 12th century. On the façade we find imperial emblems and the double talking sign (a sitting and a standing greyhound). It is the most sumptuous example of this period in Mons.
