Félicien Rops Museum
© Musée Provincial Felicien Rops

The Félicien Rops museum is located in a mansion at the heart of the historical centre of Namur, not far from the artist's birthplace (1833-1898). The main themes are exhibited (women, love, desire and death) tracing his lifework from the debut as a caricaturist in Brussels to the peak of his career in Paris. Temporary 19th century exhibitions including the art of etching are organised regularly. The museum also produces numerous publications.
