PARK OF THE SPRINGS

- Address:
Rue Salzinnes-les-Moulins
5000 NAMUR - MAPS: Google Maps
- Opening Dates
At the end of the 10th century, the Abbey of Salzinnes had a mill on the current park site. In the early 20th century, a sparkling spring water was produced and sold there. In 1996, the Park of the springs was opened to the public by the Delforge family. Damaged by its excess water, it has been recently renovated in a more natural style: spontaneous development of the local species, choice of materials (stone, wood)... The quality of the water banks is particularly high. The good distribution of the open and closed spaces makes sure your visit is varied. The used surfaces contribute to the quality of the park, especially the wooden duckboards over the marshy areas.
Open : Open all year round, sunrise to sunset.
Access : E411 Motorway (Brussels-Luxembourg) exit 13: Champion, direction Namur. Follow the chaussée de Louvain, then take right in direction of Charleroi by the Boulevard du Nord. At the "Hastedon" crossing, turn left and just after the bridge over the railway, turn right. Take the Rue de l'Armée Grouchy followed by the Rue Salzinnes-les-Moulins. The park is on the left, 2 km further.
Admission free.
