REINHARDSTEIN, METTERNICH'S CASTLE
© OPT / S.Wittenbol

Reinhardstein was built in the 14th century by Renaud of Waimes at the duke of Luxemburg's request. In 1812, count Metternich (father of the famous Chancellor) was deprived of his possessions by the French. After 150 years of desertion, it has been restored to its former glory by one Professor Overloop and it is still inhabited.
