The farm of Dîme was built in 1765 and which is now a museum matches the classical tree-part structure - farm-church-castle - of the medieval village of Montquintin, and is listed as "Major Walloon Heritage". This three-part farm is a perfectly preserved example of traditional rural architecture in the Gaume area, i.e. the living quarters, the barn and the cattle shed under one single roof. The original local materials bear testimony to tradition; the restoration and the maintenance according to traditional techniques are in fact not only informative, they are educational. On the inside, a reconstruction of a classroom from the early 20th century is particularly illustrative for the school tradition in a rural environment.
Guided tours : For groups throughout the year except from November to February inclusive, by prior appointment (15 days) for € 30,- weekdays, € 50,- at weekends and on public holidays (FR - NL).
