The Lion Hamlet is located at the heart of the Battlefield, at the front-line where the French troops confronted the English troops. It was established around the Lion Mound, the main monument commemorating the battle of Waterloo.
At the Lion Hamlet you find the Visitor Centre. This is the perfect departure point to start your exploration of the Battlefield. Relive the famous battle thanks to the Lion Mound, the audiovisual show, the two new films at the visitor centre, the Panorama as well as the Waxworks Museum.
Opening hours can change from day to day (changes are generally made in the evenings).
3 restaurants welcome you: the Bivouac de l'Empereur, the Cambronne and the Wellington Café. They offer traditional meals in a warm setting with terraces.
Several specialist shops offer a wide selection of goods relating to Waterloo and Napoleon.
