The Toone Theatre and its tavern await you in the centre of Brussels, in the very heart of the historic district.

The Toone tavern is located on the ground floor of the theatre and is magnificently decorated with puppets. Dating from 1696, it is oneof the oldest cafés in town. The Toone is, by its very nature, a picturesque bar with its tiled floor, blackened beams and Spanish pink brick walls.

Beer takes pride of place.

The Toone tavern has a range of carefully selected Belgian beers which are served in the traditional way, including the famous Kwak on tap. To be sampled with a Plattekeis (fromage blanc) open sandwich.

Puppet shows.

Performances are every evening at 8.30pm. There is also a performance on Saturday at 4pm. The show lasts 2 hours (including the interval).

You are advised to book in advance.

In summer you can enjoy the city centre’s quietest terrace!
